Pensions: the National Assembly rejects the transpartisan censure motion by nine votes

The National Assembly on Monday rejected by nine votes the cross-partisan motion of censure which had been tabled by the group of independent deputies Liot. This first motion collected 278 votes out of the 287 necessary. The deputies must now vote on a second motion, tabled by the RN group.

The National Assembly on Monday rejected by nine votes the cross-partisan censure motion which had been tabled by the group of independent deputies Liot, after the triggering of 49.3 by Elisabeth Borne to pass the pension reform. This first motion collected 278 votes out of the 287 necessary. The deputies must now vote on a second motion, tabled by the RN group, which has no chance of being adopted. The pension reform will then be considered as definitively adopted by Parliament.

The Nupes also chanted “resignation, resignation”, addressed to the ministers present, first and foremost Élisabeth Borne. The deputies must now vote on a second motion, tabled by the RN group, which has no chance of being adopted. The pension reform will then be considered as definitively adopted by Parliament.
