(ANSA) – COSENZA, 04 NOV – Franz Caruso has been proclaimed mayor of Cosenza. Absent the outgoing Mario Occhiuto who delegated the councilor Alessandra De Rosa for the handover and the investiture of the tricolor band.
Franz Caruso, proposed by the center-left, obtained 57.7% of the votes, winning the victory over the almost homonymous competitor Francesco Caruso, candidate of the center-right.
“Thanks to everyone – said Caruso – especially to the citizens who are here today and have shared with me this important moment that marks the beginning of this new path.
It will be a political path – he then added in discontinuity with respect to the past, although the works started will be completed but with the appropriate changes. On the council, the mayor assured that “he is working on it but it is almost ready and there will be outsiders”. Regarding the budget, he specified that “times are tight and this worries me but I will ask the Prefect to meet for an extension”.
