Expensive rents for university students, Bernini launches a working group

A group of experts to give quick answers on the subject of university accommodation and the right to study. The Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, signed the decree, in implementation of the measures envisaged by the Pnrr which establishes an inter-ministerial working group: the technicians are asked to identify the average controlled cost for each bed at the territorial level , taking into account the reference market values, the types of properties and the level of services offered. Furthermore, a 15 percent reduction is foreseen to determine the final cost per bed.

After Milan, tents are also springing up against high rents in front of the Sapienza University of Rome. After the initiative of the student of the Polytechnic, Ilaria Lamera, some students of Sapienza also camped in front of the rectorate to shed light “on the problem of the housing question in Rome”.
