(ANSA) – ROME, 10 FEB – Everything is ready for the third stage of the Formula World Championship in Mexico.

Saturday 12 February Mexico City will host the third race of this year’s ABB FIA Formula E World Championship: the fans are back to fill the stands, while the 22 drivers are ready to race on the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez track. The circuit, which is known for the intensity of the race, is a perfect mix of long and fast straights with an internal technical section running right through the legendary Foro Sol stadium, with 40,000 spectators helping to create the distinctive vibrant atmosphere of Mexico City.

Fresh from third place in the second race and an excellent performance in Diriyah for his new team, ROKiT Venturi Racing driver Lucas di Grassi certainly one to keep an eye on in Mexico. The Brazilian has taken victory twice in Mexico City, the most recent during Season 5. Teammate Edo Mortara will look to confirm the results of the first and second stages and to stay at the top of the drivers’ standings after winning the second of the two races in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Fans attending the competition at the Foro Sol will see a new art installation representing Mexico City’s modern, progressive and innovative values. The materials used are inspired by the country’s rich cultural history and combine it with modern artistic influences, with a colorful tapestry and patterns that celebrate traditional techniques such as weaving, ceramics and mosaics, in a modern way. Before the third race, F1 champion and Kimoa creator Fernando Alonso revealed the new collaboration in a live Instagram with Formula E co-founder and Chief Championship Officer Alberto Longo.
