(ANSA) – SAN PAOLO, 11 FEB – The final of the 2021 Club World Cup will be played tomorrow at the Mohammed bin Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi (at 20.30 local time, 17.30 in Italy), postponed by a couple of months (generally dispute in December) due to the pandemic and travel restrictions. To contend for the world title will be Chelsea and Palmeiras but the fact that Fifa has banned the Brazilian team from using a jersey with the words “for a greener future” in support of the environmental protection and a pro-ecology project of which the Paulista club is testimonial.

But the international football body recalled that the regulations prohibit any type of message, including ecological ones, on playwear and therefore Palmeiras (a company founded by the Italian community of Sao Paulo, and in fact it was once called Palestra Italia ) will have to change jersey. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is a great fan of this team, seen several times at the stadium wearing the ‘Verdao’ shirt. (HANDLE).
