Businessman Pagliuca buys 55% of Atalanta

(ANSA) – BERGAMO, 19 FEB – Atalanta has formalized “the signing of a partnership agreement between the Percassi family and a group of investors led by businessman Stephen Pagliuca, Managing Partner and Co-owner of the Boston Celtics, as well as Co-chairman of Bain Capital, one of the leading investment funds in the world “.

Pagliuca and partners enter the company by acquiring 55% of La Dea Srl, the sub-holding of the Percassi family, which owns approximately 86% of the share capital of Atalanta, for an amount exceeding 400 million. The Percassi remain the main single shareholder, while Stephen Pagliuca is the new Co-chairman of the Club. Antonio and Luca Percassi will continue to hold the office of president and CEO respectively of Atalanta.
