Ice: Tricolor speed, 2 titles for Lollobrigida

Ukraine, Borrell:

(ANSA) – BASELGA, 25 FEB – The cold and the wind do not stop the show on the first day of the weekend dedicated to the 2022 Absolute Italian Championships of long track at the Ice Rink Piné in Baselga. The competition – organized by Federghiaccio with the support of the home club, the Ice Rink Pinè – is the first official outing on the ice for the Azzurri returning from the Beijing 2022 Winter Games in a tricolor review with 45 registered athletes (18 women and 27 men).

In the men, the first two positions in the standings monopolized both on the 500 and on the 1000 meters by the Italian sprinters who took part in the Beijing Games: double success specifically for the reigning Italian champion David Bosa (Fiamme Oro), good at winning over 500 in 35 “66, with only 3 cents ahead of Jeffrey Rosanelli (Fiamme Gialle) second in 35” 69.

Third Mirko Giacomo Nenzi (Fiamme Gialle) with 36 ″ 07. The placings did not change over 1000 meters: Bosa in fact won in 1’11 ″ 13 ahead of Rosanelli (1’11 ″ 84) and Nenzi (1’12 ″ 25).

Francesca Lollobrigida (Aeronautica Militare) answers to the solo of the Trentino class ’92 on short distances. The blue champion dominates those 3000 meters in which a few weeks ago in Beijing she won an extraordinary Olympic silver and to this success she adds the one on the 1000 meters and the second place on the 500. Lollo has overcome without worries the competition in the longest distance with the time of 4’10 ″ 11 ahead of Linda Rossi (Fiamme Azzurre), second in 4’29 ″ 81, and Gloria Malfatti (Sporting Club Pergine), third in 4’39 ″ 22. The 31-year-old Roman class also won the Italian title on 1000 meters, finishing in 1’18 “78 in front of Laura Peveri (Fiamme Oro), 1’20” 48, and Federica Maffei (Carabinieri), 1’20 “75. Great success on 500 meters for the 17 year old Serena Pergher (Fiamme Oro) in 39 “56 ahead of Lollobrigida (second with a time of 40” 78) and Peveri (second with a time of 40 “79). Finally, the men’s 5000 meters ended with the victory of Michele Malfatti (Fiamme Gialle) in 6’32 ″ 34 ahead of Davide Ghiotto. (HANDLE).
