(ANSA) – PERUGIA, 04 MAR – “With your help we Ukrainians, who are defending our country, are stronger and we will win this war that should never have started”.
Twenty-five years not yet completed, born in Vinnytsia, in the center of Ukraine, he currently in Italy, talented volleyball player of the Sir Safety Conad of Perugia, his whole family in his war-torn country: Oleh Plotnytskyi, joined the appeal by many Ukrainian sportsmen who are asking for an immediate end to the conflict these days.
He also did so by promoting a ‘flash collection’ of basic necessities, immediately supported by the ‘Sirmaniaci’, organized supporters of his team, which he handed over to Father Vasyl Hushuvatyy, chaplain of the Ukrainian Catholic community of the Byzantine rite in Perugia, in the Madonna delle Grazie church.
“I would like to thank everyone for doing a great thing for us,” said Oleh Plotnytskyi. In Ukraine the hitter of the SIR has his whole family: his mother, his father, his partner Anna, his one-year-old son, sisters, grandchildren.
In a few days, after Oleh Plotnytskyi’s appeal, the ‘Sirmaniaci’ collected drugs and various medical materials worth around 10 thousand euros. (HANDLE).
