(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 07 – There are 14 ‘Italians’ in the long list (44 names) of Argentina’s preconvocated players for the next engagements in the world qualifiers in South America. Among them is the return of Lionel Messi and there is certainly no shortage of surprises, given the presence of some boys who have yet to make their debut in the first team of their respective clubs.

This is the case of the brothers Franco and Valentin Carboni, 18 and 17 years old respectively, sons of the former Catania midfielder Ezequiel ‘Kely’ Carboni, who shine in Inter’s Primavera and who did not want to believe that the coach Scaloni had called them.

Instead, confirmation came directly from Alfa, the Argentine football federation, which moved, on the input of the coach, also to prevent the two boys from being ‘blown’ to the Albiceleste by other representatives, such as Italy which has already used Valentin Carboni in the under 17 and in the blue under 18.

Among the squads of Argentina there is another very young, from November 2004, that Luka Romero, former Mallorca, who is part of the first team of Lazio and has already made his debut in Serie A (as well as, at the time, in the Liga) . Then on the list there is the 18-year-old Matias Soulé who plays in Serie C in Juventus under 23 but has also made two appearances in A.

In addition to the two Carboni, Romero and Sulé, the other ‘Italians’ on the Argentine list are Musso from Atalanta, Molina, Perez and Pereyra from Udinese, Martinez Quarta and Gonzalez from Fiorentina, Lautaro Martinez and Correa from Inter, Dybala of Juventus and Simeone of Verona. (HANDLE).
