The challenges on 500 and 1500 meters saw Martina Valcepina and Pietro Sighel prevail. The Valtellinese and the young man from Trentino won in both scheduled tests, projecting themselves to the top of the overall standings. Leadership to be confirmed tomorrow, when the 1000m races and the 3000m super finals will complete the important round of approaching the World Championships in April in Montreal (Canada).
Valcepina won her 500 meters in front of her sister Arianna and Nicole Botter Gomez, third to complete the podium with Elena Viviani fourth classified. In the 1500s she double for Valcepina, this time with Gloria Ioriatti on the podium. With two Italian titles already insured, Martina Valcepina leads the general with 68 points ahead of her sister Arianna and Viviani.
