(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 13 – Waiting for Matteo Berrettini’s match today, Jannik Sinner is for now the only blue to enter the third round of the Indian Wells ATP tournament. Outside Lorenzo Sonego, Fabio Fognini and Lorenzo Musetti.

The 20 year old South Tyrolean n.10 in the world and in the Californian seeding beat the 26 year old Serbian Laslo Djere (# 52) in 6-3 6-3. Sinner will see it in the next round with the 25-year-old Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (# 62), who eliminated the 26-year-old Sonego from Turin (# 21) 6-3 6-4.

Fognini instead had to retire due to a flu attack. The 34 year old Ligurian (n.36) had to face the Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili (n.18). Finally Musetti (n.56) did not make it to overtake the 24 year old American Reilly Opelka (n.17): the 20 year old Tuscan lost 6-1 6-4. (HANDLE).
