(ANSA) – BELGRADE, MARCH 18 – Beginning with an Italian record for Zaynab Dosso. The 22-year-old of Ivorian origin, engaged in the heats of the women’s 60 meters of the Indoor World Championships, took away two cents from the national limit obtained at the Absolutes in Ancona last February 27, running in an excellent 7.14, time trial that placed her in second place in the heats (success to the American Marybeth Sant-Price, 7.07).

The shooting response of the Dosso is excellent (0.121), even if the subsequent acceleration phase still appears to be perfectible; the run-up to the American rewards the blue, largely qualified for tonight’s semifinal (6.05 pm). Aurora Berton is also doing well, fourth in 7.30 in the last of the six heats: one thousandth too many of her puts her behind the British Evans-Gray, third and directly qualified for the next round. The joke lies precisely in that thousandth (0.298 against 0.299): Berton is eliminated.

The fastest of the heats is the American Mikiah Brisco with 7.03, three cents better than the Jamaican Williams (7.06).

Dosso is eighth. (HANDLE).
