(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 26 – The 2021 vintage ended with great satisfaction despite the problems caused by the pandemic, Aci Rally Italia Talent is ready to start a new exciting season with Suzuki Swift Sport Hybrid tires with Toyo in the role of Official Car. Today and tomorrow Sunday 27 March the first of the nine regional selections scheduled for this 9th edition will take place in Sicily at the Autodromo di Pergusa (EN).
The 2021 rally season was very difficult for all its players due to the Covid emergency which hindered its regular development at all levels, however all the 9 regional selections provided for, as well as the Semifinal and Final were completed regularly. . “A special thanks – say the organizers – to the president of Aci, Sticchi Damiani, to the president of Suzuki Italy, Nalli, to the director for Sport in ACI, Ferrari and to the general manager of Aci Sport, Rogano who have allowed the regular conclusion of the 2021 edition.
Make way for young people: in this edition Aci Rally Italia Talent integrates the ACI Talent +14 project, strongly desired by Aci and Suzuki, which allows for the first time anyone over the age of 14 to get behind the wheel of a Swift Sport Hybrid equipped with double commands and to experience the thrill of driving flanked by the instructors of Aci Rally Italia Talent, all great rally champions. This initiative aims, on the one hand, to stimulate the passion for engines in young people and, on the other, to train the motorists of tomorrow. Thanks to the Rally Talent Ability Rally without Barriers initiative, affiliated with ACI and recognized by CONI, people with disabilities will be able to participate, free of charge, in all phases of ACI Rally Italia Talent, challenging other competitors on equal terms thanks to a Suzuki Swift special made available to them by Suzuki Italy, equipped with a particular set-up designed with the collaboration of the Handytech company of Moncalvo d’Asti.
