(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 02 – Great boxing evening in Santa Marinella (Rome): all the spotlights were on the match for the EU lightweight title between Emiliano Tizzo Marsili and Spaniard Frank Urquiaga, which proved to be very balanced and exciting on 12 rounds. In the end, the Italian boxer won on points (115-113; 112-115; 115-112) for ‘Split Decision’.
The evening, organized by OPI 82, also included the match for the Intercontinental Youth Leggeri Wbc title between Daniel Spada and Andrea Sito, which was won with a unanimous verdict (78-74; 79-73; 77-75) from the first of two. As for the rest of the program, in the Middle, Giovanni Sarchioto defeated Samir Nasim for Kot in the first round, Francesco Russo – still in the Middle category – overcame Giusto Durante by abandonment in the second round. Middleweight Omar Illunga beat Slovenian Alex Visocnik for Kot in the fourth round.
