(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 07 – Coach Tite’s promise to leave the Brazilian bench after the World Cup has sparked the debate on the name of his substitute. The CBF, as revealed by Globe Esporte, reporting an article by Marca, has in mind to entrust the Selecao to a foreign coach. In Brazil they relaunch the name circulated in Spain, which is that of Pep Guaridola, current manager of Manchester City. The Catalan would be at the top of the aspirations of the CBF president, Ednaldo Rodrigues, who has been in office since March. Certainly, explains Globo Eporte, the idea is to contact a non-Brazilian technician. Ednaldo tried to get closer to Guardiola through people who make up the Board of the Federation: contact has already been established with Pere Guardiola, Pep’s brother and agent. Marca, on the other hand, talks about the possible proposal of the CBF: a four-year contract, with an eye to the 2026 World Cup and a salary that would be around 12 million net a year. A very high salary for the CBF, but significantly lower than what Guardiola currently receives in Manchester City, where his salary is close to 20 million euros net per season.
