(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 11 – Simone Faggioli on Norma M20 FC Zytek dominated and won the 63rd Selva di Fasano Cup, opening round of the Italian Hill Climb Championship. The Florentine in the Best Lap obtained two photocopied times with the two-seater group E2SC equipped with Pirelli tires, 2’07 “61 in the first climb, time trial then increased by only 36 cents on the second passage along the 5,600 meters of the Apulian track, made more treacherous from a weather that was first humid and then always cold due to the mistral wind that accompanied the whole long day. A fierce fight to complete the podium. Second position for the Trentino Diego Degasperi who on Osella FA 30 Zytek was the first among the single-seater of the E2SS group, the choice of tires was also decisive for the Vimotorsport rider, thanks to the lower temperatures of race 2 which cost something. Podium all under the banner of Team Faggioli completed by Franco Caruso from Ragusa who made two climbs progressing on the Nova Proto NP01-2 and in the end he did not hide the satisfaction for a very gratifying placement with the 2nd time of race 2, when he dared decidedly.

Fourth place overall for Achille Lombardi from Potenza on Osella Pa 2000, very happy with the way he managed his climbs in the really complicated conditions of the track, where he also dared to make choices.

With the seventh absolute position, Ivan Pezzolla in a Lamborghini Huracàn Super trophy EVO 2 won the thrilling and engaging duel for the GT group held with the tenacious Lucio Peruggini from Foggia in a Ferrari 488 Challenge. The host, after some adjustments made by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, stubbornly recovered with a perfect race 2 where he lowered the time. Peruggini won race 1 and earned ninth place overall on his return to the wheel after two years, finding an immediate agreement with the 488 of the Cavallino and is now looking forward to the championship with confidence.

In eighth position Sebastiano Castellano, the young winner from Campania in 2021, now on Osella PA 21 Jrb with Suzuki engine followed by Autosport Sorrento, slowed down by some technical boredom, especially in race 1. (ANSA).
