(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 22 – Shortly after Lorenzo Musetti, Lorenzo Sonego was also eliminated from the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, beaten in the second round by the Spanish Pablo Carreno Busta, n.19 Atp, with a score of 6-2-5- 7- 6-2, after just under two hours and three quarters of the match.
The Turin player lost his serve at the start and his opponent quickly went to 4-0, then forfeited the first set 6-2. The second set was much more balanced, with Sonego becoming more incisive also in response. In the twelfth game, Sonego got the first break points of the match and at the fourth opportunity he managed to drag the match to the third, where however Carreno found the polish of the first set and won with the same score. The Spaniard will face the Norwegian Casper Ruud in the quarterfinals. (HANDLE).
