(ANSA) – IMOLA, APRIL 23 – Reassembling “was a little easier than I expected, this car helps to overtake, with last year’s car it would have been more difficult”. This was stated by Carlos Sainz, fourth at the end of the Sprint race at the Imola GP, after starting from the tenth position and, with the points gained, second in the general drivers’ standings.
“I had a solid race – said the Spaniard – but still missing a bit”. The public? “It’s a pity that I couldn’t hear the roars for the engine, they told me about it. After a hard day like yesterday it’s important for us riders to have this support,” he told SkySport.
Fourth place “already puts me in the fight for tomorrow, today was a good comeback. We saw that Red Bull was faster in the dry but for tomorrow we will put the car in order to be in the fight with them.” (HANDLE).
