The FIGC Federal Council today completed the regulatory changes with reference to the transition to professionalism for the women’s Serie A starting next season. “The path of professionalism in women’s football begins on July 1st, we are the first federation in Italy to start and implement this path” said the president Gabriele Gravina.
“With the approval of the internal organizational rules (Noif) in the Federal Council, we have given concreteness and a definitive legal basis to the transition to professionalism scheduled for July 1. Above all, we have completed a long and valuable work done in recent months with the women’s football division, the clubs, the federal offices and all the components to whom our thanks go. ” Thus the president of the Assocalciatori, Umberto Calcagno. comments on the vote in the FIGC which marks the transition to professionalism for the women’s Serie A. “It will be the beginning of a new challenge that will see us as a system committed to seizing all the opportunities of this epochal transition, also to further expand the practice of football in our country”, concluded Calcagno.
