(ANSA) – ROME, 02 MAY – “Much has been done on the stadiums, with Juve, Udinese and Sassuolo, but there is the awareness that there must be an acceleration of bureaucratic processes”.

So to the microphones of Radio Anch’io Sport the CEO of Lega Serie A Luigi De Siervo. “We need a table with the club, the government and the administrations. They have to put a hand on their conscience to try to facilitate the process.”

Then De Siervo addresses the issue of the format of the new Champions League? “Ours is a critical position on two dynamics: the first is on the number of games: 100 more games are added, 40% more for more economic resources. For Serie A it would mean losing over 200 million a year and this it is an unacceptable fact. We ask that the increase of the matches be reduced by half, that is, that the matches of the initial groups are not ten but eight compared to the current six. The second concerns the coefficients of the four teams that would be admitted more, is introduced a coefficient that tends to reward certain performances, a kind of wink to the Super League model. From the estimates we made – explains De Siervo – Italy would only have one more team in the next ten years, there would be an inequality with respect to to the two championships that already dominate in European competitions “.

Closing on the final of the Italian Super Cup: “yes, we’re going back to Arabia, we have an inherited contract, it’s the last year, they tried to solve it but for a series of clauses it wasn’t possible. We are evaluating another prospective agreement, always at ‘abroad”. (HANDLE).
