(ANSA-AFP) – PARIS, 02 MAY – Russian club teams have been excluded from the Champions League and other club competitions for the 2022-2023 season and the Russian women’s national team from Euro-2022, in which the Portugal.

“Russia will not have affiliated clubs that will participate in Uefa club competitions in the 2022/23 season”, reads a statement from UEFA. The Russian clubs and the various national teams had been suspended “until further notice” by the European confederation as early as February following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
