(ANSA) – BARI, 04 MAY – The first Mediterranean half marathon arrives in Bari, but the “Bari Med Marathon” is not just a running event. It is organized by “La Fabrica di corsa” and was presented this morning at the headquarters of Confindustria Bari Bat, in the presence of the mayor of the Apulian capital, Antonio Decaro, of the president of Confindustria Bari and Bat Sergio Fontana, of the president of the Health section, Annabella Cascione, of the general secretary of the consular corps of Puglia and Basilicata Massimo Salomone and of Pierdavide Losavio of La Fabrica di Corsa.
Bari for the first time promotes a sports initiative dedicated to the peoples of the 22 Mediterranean countries with three days, on 20, 21 and 22 May, in which events, competitions, sporting demonstrations and conferences on sport and wellness, tourism and corporate welfare.
The 21-kilometer competitive race is open to all amateur athletes; Bari is the first city in Italy to promote a Factory Run, a competitive and non-competitive 10-kilometer race, dedicated to companies and workers, created to encourage them to adopt forms of corporate welfare that promote the physical well-being of employees. The event is open to all but with particular attention to corporate teams to raise awareness among public and private companies.
