(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 05 – Everything is ready in Istanbul for the 13th edition of the Elite Women’s World Boxing Championships, which will take place in the Başakşehir Gençlik ve Spor Tesisleri ring from Monday 9 May until Friday 20. 394 boxers representing 84 nations are registered, the IBA reports.
This Women’s World Cup also offers cash prizes for those who get on the podium, divided as follows: 100 thousand dollars will go to those who win the gold medal, 50 thousand for silver and 25 thousand for bronze. The world championship tournament, which includes 12 weight categories (at the Olympics in Paris 2024 they will be half, or 6) will start on day 8 with the draws and the inauguration ceremony. The meetings with the preliminary stages will begin on the 9th and will end on the 16th with the quarter-finals. After the day off of May 17th, the semifinals will take place on 18th, which will be the prelude to the two days dedicated to the finals, on 19th and 20th.
