Boxing: looking for talents; Fpi-Ateneo Foro Italico agreement

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 11 – Two fundamental and interconnected objectives that unite the Italian Boxing Federation and the university world. With this spirit of sharing and promoting the sporting mission, the FPI has signed a collaboration agreement for research and teaching purposes with the University of Rome Foro Italico – Faculty of Motor Sciences, thanks to the support of the Rector Attilio Parisi.

A synergy promoted by the FPI councilor, Director of the National School of Boxing and student of the Marco Consolati University and by the Fpi General Secretary Alberto Tappa, with the support of Professor Antonio Tessitore, Head of the University Courses, and the Communication and Marketing Office Fpi.

As part of the agreement, which promotes joint research programs and cultural activities, the most important novelty is that a Choice Training Course called “Boxing” will be established, starting from the academic year 2022-2023, lasting of 40 hours, of theoretical lectures on technical-practical aspects (at least 16 hours) and didactic-exercises.

“This collaboration – explains the president of the FPI Flavio D’Ambrosi – represents a source of pride for the FPI and opens the doors to a structured project that will allow us to implement our training process with paths dedicated to the search for talent. that I have always reiterated is to place training at the center of the growth of the boxing movement. For high-level boxers, the University also provides training credits linked to the sports curriculum and the possibility of organizing the study plan based on competitive commitments, taking advantage of of every potential of the Dual Career “. “In our University, the only one in Italy dedicated to Sport – comments the Rector Attilio Parisi -, obtaining the opportunity to take advantage of the skills of the FPI to transfer them to our students and therefore contribute to training future technicians, is very important. To maintain certain levels in sport you need training that enhances and supports skills, thanks to trained technicians not only from the point of view of technical-tactical but also psychological teaching.
