It took 93 minutes, but in the end in the stands of the San Vito-Marulla stadium in Cosenza the joy of the rossoblù fans exploded for the salvation of their team in the play out with Vicenza for the stay in B. Salvation obtained thanks to the brace of Larrivey who overturned the result of 1-0 in favor of the Venetians of the first leg.
A match that on the eve was loaded with tensions due to an offensive post against the Calabrians made by a Venetian fan, but in the end everything went smoothly.
About eighteen thousand rossoblù fans who attended the match. On the other hand, about six thousand supporters came from Veneto.
“A song for Cosenza I will sing” is the song by Mario Gualtieri, historical voice of the popular song from Cosenza, who sang the whole stadium.
The Vicenza fans – brought out of the stadium by a path controlled by the police – displayed a banner with the words “quiet, we fish out”.
