(ANSA) – BERLIN, MAY 23 – Manuel Neuer, symbolic goalkeeper and captain of Bayern Munich, has extended his contract for one year, until 2024, the Bavarian club announced. 36-year-old Neuer’s current contract would expire in June 2023.
The German champion, as well as extreme defender of the German national team, has made 109 appearances for Germany, and has been in Bavaria since 2011, when he was drawn by Schalke 04. In Bayern he played 472 games, won ten league titles, five German cups and six super cups, two Champions League, the Club World Cup and the European Super Cup.
