(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 26 – Rome, after being picked up directly under the plane returning from Albania, left Fiumicino airport at around 4.40 am under police surveillance. It is learned from informed sources.
Open the door of the plane, Captain Pellegrini appeared, enthusiastic, with the trophy in his hand, followed by Cristante and Mancini, as well as Abraham holding a music box. Mourinho appeared with a red and yellow scarf in his hand. Ovation below board by airport operators Giallorossi fans.
The team and staff then boarded the official team bus with the slogan “Rome won” on the livery, which – escorted – left the airport through a secondary passage. No direct contact between the team and the fans.
The wait is therefore in vain for the over a thousand supporters of the team who have waited for hours outside Terminal 5.
When the news spread that the players had left the airport, the fans came home in dribs and drabs, not hiding a bit of disappointment. (HANDLE).
