FIGC and Customs Agency together to promote legality

(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 04 – The FIGC and the Excise, Customs and Monopolies Agency take the field to fight illegality.

Before the Nations League match between Italy and Germany, the federal president, Gabriele Gravina, and the general manager, Marcello Minenna, signed a protocol which, according to the federation, has as its main objective the defense and promotion of the values of legality and health protection, with particular regard to the fight against counterfeiting, sports betting, the promotion of lifestyles that contrast addiction to pathological gambling or smoking products.

The collaboration aims, also by exploiting the notoriety and media attention of the national teams, to sensitize the general public to correct and loyal behaviors which, in a transversal way, affect the daily life of all citizens and also sport. The first activity covered by the protocol is scheduled for tonight when, in the Italy-Germany interval, the annual super prize of the receipt lottery will be announced, which awards five million to the buyer who owns the receipt to which his lottery code is associated and one million to the merchant from whom the purchase was made.

“With Adm we begin a path of concrete ideas and projects – says Gravina – because, albeit in different areas, we share the same values and the same responsibility in promoting and strengthening educational projects towards the widest possible audience. Legality and respect for the rules they are in our DNA and in this collaboration we want to bring into play the attractiveness of football and its extraordinary ability to speak to everyone. ” “The agreement with the FIGC represents a further step for the protection of legality – Minenna declares – for the fight against offenses in public gaming, but also the opportunity to initiate synergies in favor of the country system”.
