F1: Azerbaijan; Leclerc best time in free practice, according to Perez

(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 10 – Ferrari and Charles Leclerc take the lead on Friday of Formula 1 free practice of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Monegasque driver set the time of 1.43.224 in Baku in the afternoon, more than two tenths ahead of Sergio’s Red Bull, which in the first session was the best with 1.45.476, with Leclerc behind by a tenth.

Third best time for the other Red Bull of Max Verstappen, who confirmed the position in the second session and also the delay from the leader, of just over three tenths.

Fourth time for Fernando Alonso’s Alpine, last to keep the gap from Leclerc within the second, because Carlos Sainz also went beyond that delay having ‘aborted’ the lap while looking for his best time. Only seventh and 12th time for the Mercedes, with George Russell better placed than Lewis Hamilton, who set almost the same times as the Aston Martini of Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll, one second and 650 thousandths from Leclerc’s Ferrari.
