(ANSA) – GENOA, 11 JUN – The new season of Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria will begin on Wednesday 6 July: the team will carry out a series of visits and tests between Genoa and the “Mugnaini” sports center in Bogliasco. Then on 9 July he will leave for the Alta Valle Camonica, where he will stay at the Hotel Mirella and will train at the sports center in Temù (Brescia) where he will remain until 23 July. The first friendlies have also been defined: Castiglione (Lombard Excellence), Parma (Serie B) and Bienno (Second Brescia Category) respectively Wednesday 13, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July in Temù. Saturday 23 July the Sampdoria will play against Brescia at the Rigamonti stadium. A friendly match on the agenda on 20 July has yet to be defined.
Meanwhile on the market front there is the interest of the Turks of Trabzonspor for the Danish Mikkel Damsgaard who has just returned from a very complicated season with just 11 appearances due to his physical problems with the infection in his right knee that kept him still for months. The club would like to keep the Dane for one more season to be able to enhance him again and bring him back to the levels of two years ago when he reached a price of more than 30 million euros.
