(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 14 – Now it’s official: Nemanja Matic is a new Roma player. The 33-year-old arrives in the Giallorossi after 5 seasons at Manchester United and has signed a contract with the Giallorossi until 30 June 2023. “I am happy and proud to join this club and I can’t wait to start the season with my new companions, “Matic said in his first interview. “Roma are a great club, they have fantastic fans and a manager, Mourinho, whom everyone knows: choosing to come here was easy. I hope that all together we can do something important” concluded the midfielder. “Nemanja will bring to Roma technical qualities, the experience that comes from his seasons in the Premier League and the mentality that has distinguished him during his career,” commented GM, Tiago Pinto. “The enthusiasm with which he chose to join our project was surprising and I am sure it will represent the basis of a path full of satisfactions”.
