Padel: Healty lifestyle weekend, medicine meets sport

(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 14 – ‘Padel and Health’ is back with prevention as the protagonist.

The third edition will be held on 18 and 19 June 2022, made possible thanks to the strong bond and unity of purpose with Sapienza University of Rome, Hospital – University Policlinico Umberto I of Rome and the Cultural Association Capire per Prevenire. The event will take place at the ‘Circolo della Sapienza Tor di Quinto’ Via Fornaci di Tor di Quinto 64 in Rome, sponsored free of charge by the Umberto I Polyclinic-University Hospital, Sapienza University of Rome, Sapienza Sport, Rome Sapienza Foundation, Sport and Health, Coni Lazio, Padel Fit, Italian Red Cross, Omceo (Order of Physicians-Surgeons and Dentists of the Province of Rome), Lazio Region, Municipality of Rome and Aipd (Italian Association of Down People).

Two days to promote medical prevention through free visits to all citizens for a specialist consultation on various diseases. Specifically, the medical and surgical excellence of the Policlinico Umberto I University Hospital will be active on 18 June from 9.00 to 18.00 and on 19 June from 9.00 to 13.00, for: General Surgery, Dermatology, Senology, Odontostomatology, Endocrinology and Andrology, Cardiology, Physiatry, Otolaryngology, Proctology, Pediatrics, Clinical Nutrition and Urology.

The weekend program at the Villaggio della Salute is rich, which extends over a tensile structure of 400 square meters, with final “Padel and Salute” tournaments, amateur tournaments and DJ sets with live music. The closing event is entrusted to Laura Freddi and Fabrizio Sabatucci.

The meeting with the press is scheduled for Sunday 19 June 2022 from 11.30 at the dedicated press-point inside the Padel and Health Village: the presence of Dr.

Fabrizio d’Alba, General Director of the Umberto I Polyclinic in Rome, the Vice Rector for Sport of Sapienza, Prof. Cristina Limatola and Prof. Stefano Arcieri, creator of the event and head of the Scientific Medical Coordination. (HANDLE).
