Lega Serie A against Figc, ‘amazed by appeal to the TAR’

(ANSA) – MILAN, 15 JUN – Lega Serie A “is very surprised by the choice of the FIGC to appeal to the TAR against the decision of the highest sports justice body regarding the national licensing system”. Lega Serie A explains this in a note, also underlining how “obviously fueling a climate of litigation at the expense of dialogue is considered more important”.

According to Lega Serie A, the decision by the FIGC to resort to the TAR on the liquidity index “shows total indifference to the invitation from Coni and the Government (as well as from Lega Serie A itself) to sit down at a table and find a shared solution, but which also contradicts what the FIGC itself had held up to yesterday, ie not to appeal against a device without waiting for the decision with the related reasons “, continues the note from the League. “The prerequisites for the appeal of the FIGC are not justified since, even following the decision of the College of Guarantee, there are no elements that call into question the regular registration for the next football championship by those entitled”. “Obviously – concludes the Serie A League – feeding a climate of litigation to the detriment of dialogue is considered more important, moreover in a phase in which, it is clear to everyone, there are many other priorities on which to concentrate all together for guarantee a sustainable future for Italian football and, in particular, for our national teams “.
