(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 23 – Lega Serie A and Puma, after announcing in March the signing of a long-term partnership that will see the Global Sports Brand as the official technical partner of Lega Serie A from the start of the 2022 football season / 23, today present the official game ball for the 2022/23 season: the Puma Orbita Serie A.
With a total audience of over one billion spectators in nearly 200 countries and over 530 million fans worldwide, Serie A TIM is one of the most followed leagues globally.
Puma is already active in Italian football through iconic teams such as AC Milan and Sassuolo and over the years has collaborated with much loved players including Diego Armando Maradona, Giorgio Chiellini and Gigi Buffon.
The new partnership adds to Puma’s existing collaboration with LaLiga.
The Serie A orbit features graphics inspired by the logo of the top professional division of the Italian football championship and also includes the colors of the Italian flag. The lively Puma logo in the Sunset Glow coloring and the shades of Blue, the Green, Puma White and Puma details, integrated into the white base, guarantee excellent visibility of the ball. The Fifa Approved Orbit uses cutting-edge technology to create an optimal sphere that retains its shape and allows for less water absorption. POE foam is added to increase touch sensitivity, providing a firmer feel and better rebound texture. “The moment of launching the new ball is always very important at the start of a new season as it is the object that most of all evokes dreams and memories in each of us – declared Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A – . Puma’s Orbita Serie A ball features a modern and captivating design, which will surely meet the taste of the younger generations. ” (HANDLE).
