Volleyball: Nations League; Italy-Slovenia 3-0

(ANSA) – QUEZON CITY, 26 JUN – Fifth success in the Volleyball Nations League for the Italian men’s national team, which today won 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-21) from the match against Slovenia.

A very convincing proof offered by Giannelli and his teammates, absolute masters of the field for the entire match. And it is also a very important 3-0 for the European champions, especially as regards the general classification of the tournament, in which Italy collected 5 wins and 16 points in the first seven games.

Against Slovenia the Azzurri were superior in every statistic: 6 aces to 0, 6 blocks to 4 and 57% in attack against 45% opponent. The same starting line-up as the previous two matches was seen on the pitch: Giannelli dribbling, Romanò opposite, Lavia and Michieletto spikers, Galassi and Anzani in the center, Balaso free. The best scorers of the meeting were Alessandro Michieletto and Daniele Lavia, respectively authors of 16 and 15 points.
