(ANSA) – MILAN, JUN 26 – Enthusiasm and great participation by the Milanese, but also by tourists and horse riding enthusiasts, for the Frecciarossa Milano Jumping Cup at the Snai San Siro Hippodrome. Thousands attended the weekend races, taking advantage of the hospitality of the organizers (Snaitech, Rcs Sport, Sport e Salute and Fise).
There were many equestrian stars present, from world number one Martin Fuchs to Steve Guerdat (gold in London 2012) to the blues Gaudiano, Chimirri, Bologni and Bicocchi, author of a double at the opening with the victory in the Snaipay and Vargroup awards.
There was no shortage of VIPs at the racecourse: from Giorgio Armani’s deputy dg Giuseppe Marsocci to Inter’s CEO Alessandro Antonello, to Pwc CEO Giovanni Andrea Toselli, Andrea Mandoni gm from Beiersdorf and Pietro Diamantini from Frecciarossa, in addition to the president of RCS Mediagroup and Torino Urbano Cairo.
Also present were the governor of Lombardy Attilio Fontana, the mayor of Milan Beppe Sala and the municipal councilor for Sport Martina Riva. Without forgetting sports legends such as former Milanese Daniele Massaro, former Olympic canoe champion Antonio Rossi, now regional undersecretary with responsibility for Sport, Francesca Schiavone, winner of Roland Garros 2010, and Tommaso Dotto, bronze in the Olympic short relay track.
Great emotion when Marco Mancinelli, son of Graziano ‘the Legend’, a monument of world equitation and Milanese doc, took to the competition field to deliver the Cup named after his father; a tribute to the greatness of those who made the history of the relationship between man and horse. (HANDLE).
