Wimbledon: Djokovic and Sinner forward, Ruud the disappointment

Novak Djokovic, in “brick wall” version, liquidates the Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis in three sets to settle in the third round of the Championships 135 edition.
If in the debut match the Serbian champion had shown some fragility and uncertainty, against the 26-year-old from Adelaide, n.79 in the ranking, the Serbian champion has definitely raised the level of his tennis, especially in the response, archiving the practice in two hours exact. “I am very lucky to be here – Djokovic said -. It was an extremely positive performance. I was also good at varying shots, I played much better than on Monday, I hope to continue like this.”
In the next round Djokovic is expected from the Serbian derby against 22 year old Miomir Kecmanovic, 22 year old, n.30 ranking, who in four sets overcame Chilean Alejandro Tabilo 7-6 7-6 3-6 6-3.
The Italian Jannik Sinner, favorite n.10, also advances to the second round, beating the Swedish Mikael Ymer in four sets (6-4 6-3 5-7 6-2). Ahead of two sets, the South Tyrolean, n.13 in the ranking, suffered the return of Ymer, and then closed the match in just over three hours. In the third round he will face the winner of the match between home idol Andy Murray and the American John Isner. At the top of the board falls the n.3 of the seeding, the Norwegian Casper Ruud, defeated in four sets by the French Hugo Humbert (6-3 2-6 7-5 6-4). While the British Cameron Norrie, favorite n.9, wins in the fifth set on the Spanish Jaume Munar (6-4 3-6 5-7 6-0 6-2).
In the women’s scoreboard, two unexpected exits to be recorded. On the Center Court the young British Emma Raducanu surrenders, winner of the last US Open, eliminated with a double 6-3 by the French Caroline Garcia. The former winner of the Championships, the Spanish Garbine Muguruza, was also already out, surprised by the Belgian Greet Minnen (6-4 6-0).
