Football: Cagliari, 10 players away due to contractual deadline

(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 01 JUL – A team of players who are leaving Cagliari due to contractual expiry and end of loan.

Since midnight yesterday, ten of them are no longer rossoblu. After eight seasons and 187 matches, Luca Ceppitelli leaves Cagliari: during his long stay in Sardinia the defender wore the captain’s armband and scored 10 goals. Charalampos Lykogiannis also ends his experience on the island: for the Greek side, who has already signed with Bologna, 109 appearances and 5 goals.

Then the loans: Alberto Grassi returned to Parma, Inter Dalbert, Kevin Strootman to Marseille, Daniele Baselli to Torino. Stop also for Keita Balde, Damir Ceter, Federico Marigosu. “Thanks to everyone for what they have given to the rossoblù cause and the best wishes for a good career continuation”, reads a note from the club.

Meanwhile Cagliari Calcio and EYE Sport announce the signing of a technical sponsorship agreement that will link the two Sardinian realities for the next 5 years, starting from the 22/23 season. EYE Sport, one of the national leaders in the teamwear and sportswear sector, will provide the club with technical and representative garments for all its formations, from the first team to the youth sector up to the basic activity.
