(ANSA) – VERONA, 01 JUL – The mayor of Verona, Damiano Tommasi, welcomed the ceremonial staff of the International Olympic Committee for the first time in the Arena, in these days visiting the city of Verona accompanied by some representatives of the Milano Cortina Foundation 2026. At the center of the meeting was the evaluation of the accommodation capacity of the Arena and Gran Guardia, as well as the management methods of major events by the Municipality of Verona.
For this reason, yesterday evening, guests of the Arena Foundation, the group attended the representation of Carmen.
On this occasion they were able to take a live view of the complex organizational machine put in place to guarantee the realization of a great event inside the Amphitheater.
Present today were the ceremonial heads of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation Christian Sante Milici and of the IOC Patrick Stalder. They will be accompanied by about ten employees and managers of both the IOC and the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation. The amphitheater will host the closing ceremony of the Winter Games and the opening ceremony of the Paralympics. (HANDLE).
