(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 01 – Qualifying day for the finals at the World Street Skateboarding Rome 2022 which between tomorrow and Sunday will animate the first Roman stage valid for the qualifications towards Paris 2024. Among the women, the most evident result in the quarters is that Japan beats Brazil 2-0: the Olympic bronze medal from Tokyo Funa Nakayama dominates in front of the national team, five-circle gold, Momiji Nishiya. Third the Dutch Roos Zwetsloot, with the “Fadinha” Rayssa Leal fourth while the other Brazilian already world champion Pamela Rosa is only seventh.

In the men’s race all Italian eyes were on Agustin Lautaro Aquila, the only blue still in the race, who however did not qualify. Unexpected the first three positions with the French Aurelien Giraud leading the final standings ahead of the Canadian Micky Papa and third the Argentine Mauro Iglesias. The best, Huston and Horigome in the lead, have probably preserved the best tricks for the final phase. (HANDLE).
