(ANSA) – ORAN, 04 JUL – The Italy of swimming shines in the penultimate day of competitions at the Mediterranean Games. It starts with Lisa Angiolini’s gold, who wins the 50m breaststroke with a time of 30.87. Behind her, the Portuguese Ana Rodrigues de Pinho (31.31) and another Italian, Anita Bottazzo, bronze in 31.41.
Gold also for Sara Franceschi, winner of the 200 medley with a time of 2: 12.19. The rest of the podium is Turkish, with Viktoria Gunes (2: 12.26) and Denis Ertan (2: 14.15). Claudio Faraci, king in the 200 butterfly, instead stops the clock at 1: 57.09.
Blue triumph also in the mixed 4×100 relay: Carlotta Zofkova, Lisa Angiolini, Ilaria Bianchi and Sofia Morini finish the race in 4: 04.65. Spain second with 4: 06.17, Turkey third with 4: 07.31. The same metal also for the male quartet who, again in the mixed 4x100m, set the best time in 3: 35.27 with Mora, Pinzuti, Rivolta and Bori. Joy also for Ilaria Bianchi, who finishes with bronze in the 100m butterfly (59.06) (ANSA).
