Sailing: ‘Go to Barcolana’, the Trieste event will start from Ravenna

(ANSA) – ROME, 07 JUL – The Ravenna Sailing Club and the Sailing Company of Barcola and Grignano are ready to organize once again, in partnership with the Hera Group, the ‘Go to Barcolana da Ravenna-Hera Trophy’, a regatta approach that will connect the Adriatic Center to Trieste: the event was canceled last year due to bad weather. A 95-mile offshore race that will bring the hulls, coming in particular from Emilia-Romagna and Marche, to participate in the most crowded regatta.

We will leave on Thursday 6 October in the late afternoon, to arrive in Trieste the next day. All offshore boats over 8.46 meters long, which rank at the Barcolana and will be divided into the same Classes, will be able to participate. The trophy will be awarded to the first of the ranking drawn up, applying the Orc fees. The boats coming from the southern Adriatic will be able to concentrate in Ravenna, one of the safest and most accessible ports in all weather conditions, starting from the previous weekend. Registrations for the ‘Go to Barcolana da Ravenna’ will be open in September, while the first official documents will be uploaded in August. The only condition is to be registered in the Barcolana: for this reason the owners will receive a single mascone number that will accompany them both in this approach test and in Trieste. (HANDLE).
