(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 08 – Max Verstappen set the best time after the first free practice sessions of the Formula 1 Austrian GP, the eleventh race of the season. The world leader in 1’06 “302 put his Red Bull ahead of Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari (255 thousandths away) and George Russell’s Mercedes (+0.400). The hour of testing was interrupted by two flags red: the first due to a failure of Lando Norris’ McLaren, the second due to some debris that broke off a curb and ended up on the track. The list of times is followed by Sergio Perez (Red Bull, +0.537), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes, +0.607 ), Kevin Magnussen (Haas, +0.663), Carlos Sainz (Ferrari, +0.737), Fernando Alonso (Alpine +0.798) and Mick Schumacher (Haas, +0.944).
