(ANSA) – BOLZANO, 09 JUL – Tania Cagnotto leaves the Fiamme Gialle after almost twenty years of an extraordinary sports career. One of the greatest European divers of all time, and symbolic champion of the Sports Group of the Guardia di Finanza, she presented her request for leave to the Commander of the Sports Center, gen. Flavio Aniello, at the Castelporziano office, a few hours before receiving recognition for her exceptional career from the committee of the “XXVI International Fair Play Menarini Award”.
“For a while I finished my chapter as an athlete, being able to train was a bit complicated and so I made this choice after almost 20 years. The Fiamme Gialle raised me and have been a family to me”, says the Bolzano player. , mother of two girls. “For the moment – explains the 37-year-old ‘daughter of art’ – I am a full-time mother, but I have started a collaboration with the federation, which will gradually increase more and more. As long as the girls are small I have given a certain availability which then it will increase. The Federation will also be part of my world in the future. ” “Maya really likes to jump, do somersaults and dive. She’s just 4 years old and it’s too early to say anything, we’ll see. My parents feel bad thinking about a third generation of competitive Cagnotto”, she jokes.
