Eurodonne: Holland of measure, beaten Portugal

(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 13 – The Netherlands beat Portugal 3-2 (2-1) in a match of the 2nd day of Group C of the women’s European football championship played on the ground of the Leight Sports Village in Leight (England). The Dutch took the lead with Egurrola Wienke after 7 ‘of play and doubled with Van der Gragt on 16’. Costa shortened the gap for Portugal at 38 ‘pt, while Silva signed the provisional draw at 2’ st. The winning goal for the ‘orange’ came in the 17th thanks to Van de Donk.

In the Group standings, with tonight’s victory, the Netherlands hook Sweden – victorious today – at the top with 4 points, while Portugal and Switzerland remained at 1. Group C will return to the field on Sunday with the following games : Switzerland-Holland and Sweden-Portugal at 18. (ANSA).
