Calcio: Gravina “the debt has doubled in the last 12 years”

(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 13 – “The data in our report are merciless and become a sort of warning for everything that happened during the period of the pandemic”. This was stated by Gabriele Gravina, president of the Football Association, to present the 12th edition of the ReportCalcio on Skysport, the document developed by the FIGC Study Center in collaboration with Arel (Research and Legislation Agency) and PwC Italia (PricewaterhouseCoopers). “We have gone through a moment of great criticality in terms of debt: in the last 12 years we have accumulated 4.1 billion euros of aggregate reductions, that is to say one million euros a day and this speaks volumes – he continued -. We practically doubled our debt and today 79% of our companies closed at a loss.

Despite this growing loss, the cost of labor has increased disproportionately compared to the increase in revenues and today impacts the value of production for 66% of turnover, which unfortunately becomes 92% net of capital gains “. (ANSA).
