During the 14th stage of the Tour de France, the Australian Michael Matthews came first. The Australian took over at the top of the Laurent Jalabert climb in Mende. Frenchman Thibaut Pinot finished third. Behind the breakaway, Tadej Pogačar attacked the yellow jersey but failed to win it. Jonas Vingegaard still expects other attempts.

“I expect him to attack me every day, maybe even on the rest day. You never know,” joked the Dane. “You know, I would do the same if I was in his situation. I will also use every opportunity I have.
