PGA Tour: playoffs at risk for ten Superlega faces

(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 26 – Ten of the current top 125 FedEx Cup players, who have chosen the Arab Super League, could be excluded from the PGA Tour playoffs and make the clash between the top American men’s circuit and the LIV Golf. Among them are Brooks Koepka, Jason Kokrak, Talor Gooch, Abraham Ancer, Charles Howell III, Matt Jones, Carlos Ortiz, Pat Perez, Hudson Swafford and Matthew Wolff.

Their eventual exclusion from the FedEx St. Jude Championship (the first post-season event scheduled from 11 to 14 August in Memphis, USA) would open the doors to other competitors. Among them could also be Francesco Molinari (currently 142 / o in the FedEx Cup) who, this week, will not compete at the Rocket Classic but could play the Wyndham Championship from 4 to 7 August to try to be among the best 125 who will access the first game of the playoffs (the second, the FedEx St. Jude Championship will qualify the best 70 and the last, the Tour Championship, the ‘best’ 30).
