Sport: Petrucci in Balata “mutuality founding principle of movement”

(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 27 – “With the respect we owe to friends and to the world of football, I find myself not sharing the recent statements of President Balata”. On the phone with Ansa Gianni Petrucci spoke on the issue of mutuality from football to other sports raised yesterday by the protest of Serie B no.1, Mauro Balata. “There is no doubt – explains the president of the federbasket – that in our country the football movement has an absolutely primary and not questionable position. I believe it is right and respectful that the resources of the various movements fall on them in some way, but it is unthinkable to believe that what is a founding principle of the national sports movement, namely solidarity within the sports world, is now considered a negative value. The Melandri law – underlines Petrucci – has sanctioned exactly that principle and the current law confirms it. Any other recall or opposition would be an out of work or in any case an act which presupposes the exclusive interest of a sporting component which, although absolutely respectable, should not find acceptance “.
