(ANSA) – LONDON, JUL 27 – Manchester United have bought Ajax Amsterdam defender Lisandro Martinez for 57 million euros, the Dutch club announced. The Argentine international (24 years, 7 appearances), who signed until 2027 with an option for another year, had been in Amsterdam since 2019 where he wore Ajax 120 times (6 goals).
Ajax have made it clear that the club will receive € 57.37 million for this transfer, with possible bonuses that could bring the figure up to 67 million. A record amount for an outbound transfer in the Netherlands. With Ajax, Martinez won two Dutch league titles (in 2021 and 2022) and two national cups (2019 and 2021).
